FAMILY PLANNING COUNCIL OF IOWA The Family Planning Council of Iowa employs a variety of mechanisms to assure access to Iowans for reproductive health care. Foremost is a network of subcontracting clinics for direct services and community outreach. The Council administers several programs for the Iowa Department of Public Health in order to assure expanded health services are available to Iowans. Public education and advocacy are an important activity of the Council. The Council enhances care by providing training programs and continuing education opportunities for health care professionals and by being an approved provide of nursing CEUs. The Council produces fact sheets about various health care items.
